I just found this thread! I love this question!! I would in a heartbeat - pack my bags - and move to Cooper City!! That is, if we got a nice house!! I love Cooper City! It's very simple, I guess you can say laid-back, nice views, kind of city. I enjoy being over there. But I don't worship it or anything. I just like it for the way it is.

I would be happy living in a city near Orlando, but not Orlando. Quick access to Disney World being key to me, lol. Dh says I am obsessed and I agree. I really am.
Since June 2008, I have already been 3 times. June, August and 2 weeks ago.

I figure we may just save money by living there when we move this summer, save money in airfare, hotel and food for when I drive up to WDW!

Other than that, we are in love with Siesta Key, so I guess near there. I will settle for North Port though.

Default Anywhere but South Florida

I am a native South Floridian who lived off Las Olas in Fort Lauderdale. I escaped 20 years ago and you couldn't pay me to go back to New York/New jersey south. Rude, crude and overcrowded. Give me the South any day.

I chose the Space Coast 30+ years ago and I would still choose it. You can go to the beach everyday, watch rockets launch, and get anywhere in the state to do other fun things without a hassle. The people here are still friendly and caring so that makes it feel like home and it is more affordable than a lot of areas in Florida. BTW We also have great Friday night football games at a good share of our high schools.
