Oh my!
Yesterday I saw a huge box turtle. He just made it across the street as a pickup lumbered by, the driver was oblivious.
Today I saw a pod of dolphins in the bay: I counted 5.
They were quite close to shore.
And yesterday my kid and his buddies were at the state park and they saw a small gator, maybe 5 feet.
Anyone else see any Florida critters this week?

I saw three whooping cranes on Monday afternoon. There were 195 gators sunning themselves on the side of the canal, lots of woodstorks, white pelicans, herons and egrets, buzzards, and an osprey who caught a fish.

I saw five turtles hanging out by the little lake near where we live. Seen a few cranes as well. And some herons.

Would love to see all those beautiful animals, especially the dolphins......

We have cats, dogs and pigeons here in Ohio to enjoy. Even the birds who fly south don't come through here anymore.

Yes, one hundred and ninety five alligators.

I didn't count them, the rangers did. Most I'd seen before that was 88. And that boggled my mind back them.

Have decided not to hike that trail alone again until after mating season. Alligators mate, they do not cuddle.

lol ellie

I would love to see whooping cranes!
The most gators I've ever seen together wasn't anymore than 13-14, and that was from a safe distance at the St Vincent Wildlife Refuge. They were big'ns.

In other news, I have a little green frog croaking away in my laundry room.
Does anyone know how I can get him out? I am afraid he's going to starve.
I guess he came in during the cold snap, I don't really know. I tried to catch him but he snuck under the washing machine.
