I'm a former Panhandler, I have expressed my desire for a Panhandle sub-forum.

Please! By bumping this thread, Administrator will delete this thread and throw out your request.
See ToS - Bumping is a violation.

I am all for a Panhandle or Emerald Coast forum.. doesn't seem to be a reason there can't be.
I personally have LOTS of questions because I am relocating there next week. I've asked quite a few already and I am sure I will have a lot more.

It is also hard to find questions that have already been asked for my new area because if I search for too many terms the results will be inaccurate.

Ugh.

Calling a new subform the Emerald Coast would certainly leave out some very nice areas of the Panhandle.
I suppose that's how The Forgotten Coast (http://www.ajc.com/travel/content/travel/beaches/stories/0521mexicobeach.html - broken link) got its name.

We've been told that Admin prefers specific cities, but our own Florida has Ft Myers-Cape Coral Area, South Carolina has Greenville-Spartanburg Area and Myrtle Beach-Conway Area, and North Carolina has Coastal North Carolina!

I realize that TOS says don't bump threads. But Admin, 2Goldens, Marka or whoever reads this, please spare us a second.
The request for a Panhandle forum has been ongoing for years now.
Concentrating Panhandle information in one spot would ultimately reduce bandwidth.
Of course newbies can and should do a search, and many of them do.
But if a user is looking for information about Tallahassee, it can be awfully tedious and/or overwhelming to open up every little thread concerning Panama City.
If North Carolina can have "Coastal North Carolina," surely Florida can have it's Panhandle.
Hmm
I just did several searches in Florida for Panhandle, and got this result:
Sorry - no matches or filtered words used in the search query. Please try some different terms.

How 'bout us out here in the Panhandle City-Data.com ..... We have the first new international airport in the United States since 9/11 opening in less than a year. While we were one of the last undeveloped coastal areas in Florida this part of Florida is growing and establishing modern infrastructure.
