Are you going to buy all of their homes sitting on the market? People get stuck. I think several on here would LOVE to leave and can not. Life gets in the way sometimes. I would like to stay in Florida but I don't see any decent work here after 4 and 1/2 years. I also think it has changed a lot in the short time we have been here. WAY too overdeveloped and crime ridden! Sad really.

Since I had lived in North Central Florida, I was totally unprepared for the absolute difference in the weather in SW Florida; brutally hot and humid just about year round. Also, where I am now caters to the tourists, snowbirds, retirees, and is beach culture related. Night and day the difference between the two places. I left after six months of the former so this current location is a nightmare for me.

I always wondered if one coast was warmer then the other.

That sounds right now that you mention it. The gulf coast water temp gets really warm in the summer.

when my daughter first came down, she talked me into going to the beach with her. The air temp that day was 95 degrees and the water temp was 89. We stayed about an hour. When we got home, my daughter said she was going to take a nice long, refreshing, COLD shower.

Here we go. Sunnydays I believe you really do like to instigate. Totally uncalled for. Doesn't Ohio need you over there.

Then please stop complaining. It really does get annoying. I am entitled to express my opinion on here without having another nasty person on here telling me to leave. I didn't say anything so outrageous to provoke this attitude. And just to answer your question yes I expected to be able to tolerate the summers here in Florida because I am close to the water and I have been exposed to high humidity before. I had no idea my body would react the way it has. I don't think anyone can anticipate that unless you have a crystal ball.
