Plenty of beaches on the Space coast from Cocoa Beach right down to Melbourne Beach. Never had a problem with any of them.

If you are just looking for a beach there are tons. Stuart is peaceful and safe. So is Jupiter and Juno Beach. Palm Beach is no slouch either. Very safe.

Cocoa Beach/Daytona is a dump. Are you serious? There are much nicer places on Florida's east coast.

I never said anything about Daytona. Why are you lumping it in with Cocoa Beach? They are two totally different places over 80 miles away from each other. Why don't you tell us which places you think are better.

I agree with the above, Cocoa used to be a great beach. Not any more.
I also agree there are way better beaches on the easy coast then Cocoa Beach.
Cocoa Beach is becoming what Daytona is today. Run down and filty.
Cocoa is pretty, but it has become very run down and not a pleasant place to visit anymore.
Thank goodness for Ron Jons Surf Shop.

As others have said, stay away from Cocoa. It's a dump. In fact I would stay from Port St. Lucie and points south. Much better than the middle or north coast. Singer Island is very nice and private.
