so many times it looks like it is going to rain, and then nothing. I could use the rain, and I am sure all the grass, trees, plants, etc., could use the rain too.

In the past couple of weeks, we have had a lot of lightening, with no rain. I have seen air to ground lightening strikes and soon after had heard the sound of fire engins. That is not good. The ground is very, very dry. No rain and a lot of lightening, is going to cause a lot of fires.

Smile Hot weather

I like the heat, considering I'm in air conditioning most of the day. I love the water, the beach and the sunlight!!

Ft. Lauderdale hit 100F on Monday and Miami hit 98F(though the car said it was 100F outside) now add in the humidity I hate to know what the feels like temp was, and we are still only in June. I hate see what August will be like.

The storms really cooled off the temperatures though ..... I am in Parkland and after some scary moments it is now 74 degrees outside .

The above advice applies to the NYC area in the summer, too.

The US Open moves from course to course. It's always on Father's Day weekend.

And while it may have been raining this weekend, there's no guarantee the weather will be nice for any of the majors -- at the PGA in August of 2005, held at Baltusrol (NJ), and won by Phil Mickelson (his second major), the temps were quite Florida-like.

And you know why I remember? Simple -- my father was buried earlier in the week, and I had bereavement time off. I sat in the back yard and listened to sports talk radio to keep up with the tournament -- and it was so icky, I had to move into the shade, which I never do.

.

I believe the TPC played at Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra is also a Major on the PGA Tour.....

Unless the Himalayas relocated to Northern Minnesota I gotta cry BS on this one.....

No doubt ya'll have had some really inconsistent and screwy weather up there this year, but what you're describing seems impossible to occur all in the same day....

Don't mean to argue and it may sound like BS to some but this report tells it all. HydroClim Minnesota - June 2009
We can get off the MN kick for now but I just wanted to throw in some facts. I remember that week well.... seeing flurries on the weekend and then driving home from work in 96 degrees like 4 days later. I'm finding a hard time getting websites to all the records I told you about breaking in one single day - my local news station filled my head with.. you know, maybe that's my problem Rhett-Butler, I listened to the media again
