I Was wondering what all the transplanted New Yorkers would love to see available in Florida. We all know there are alot of things we miss. Like really good pizza.

I won't be living in Fla. until early next month but one other thing I miss here in Pennsylvania is a good cheese danish. When I go back to visit my sister on Long Island, she always has pizza and gets some good cheese danish.

#1....why don't you just bring some palm trees & sand & put them at your place in NY...just kidding!

That's why NY is NY and Florida is Florida...if it was all the same why would anyone leave one place for the other?

The East Coast of Florida has had so much NY invasion that a map of NY shows FL at the bottom of NY with no states in between.

I've lived in NYC and gone to school there, so I understand your longings but that's another reason why vacations were created, to go to a place that's a treat!!!

I can't believe there is anything lacking in Florida from NY at this point in time & history except the true showing of "CATS"!!!!

You will miss the food, tommysocks. I am from Massachusetts and I miss the familiar food. As far as seafood goes, you'll have grouper every which way until it swims out of your ears. And about pizza... I've learned to make my own.

Bagels with a smear. I don't care what you say, they suck in Florida. I live on LI, but even there, nothing beats a NYC bagel with a smear.

Default Italian Bread

You just can't get good italian bread in SW Florida unless the restaurant ships it in. The water just doesn't make the dough right. Good pizza can be found if you look for a restaurant with NY owners. Bagels aren't that good either down there. Nothing is like what you can get from your old home town, nothing
