I currently live in the Keys, which are nothing of the "paradise" that they are popularly marketed as, so don't believe the hype. They are not representative of the entire state.

" Love " the northern regions, because they are similar to more the Northern states.

"Hate" the incesent heat and humidity most of the year, and the general sub tropic environment gets old.

East Suburbs of Orlando

Love: the community im in, most of the weather, the lack of snow birds and tourists compared to the south and west side of orlando. being close to beaches, being close to TONS of enterainment, watching the shuttle launches, and the nature

Hate: the peak of summer, the crime issues, the flatness, the annoying insects.

Casselberry, FL (suburb of Orlando)

Love: being a close drive away from many options for a weekend/day trip, being able to go to Disney/Universal (IF we had the money to do so), Pita Pit off of Colonial and Alafaya, weather from October until mid-May.

Hate: June, July and August weather, crime, low pay/lack of upward mobility

Wacahoota in north central Florida.

Love the country lanes, giant moss covered oaks, tall palms, and rolling hills in this unique part of Florida.

Love the small towns in the area, towns that are still stuck in the slow lane like Micanopy, McIntosh, Evinston, Williston, Newberry, High Springs and Melrose.

Hate the greedy local tax mafias who keep piling on increasing property taxes to fund their runaway spending.

Getting tired of the summer weather this late September. Only a month more and some flannel shirt mornings should be here!

Love those cold winter days with their frosty morns and cool sunny afternoons with low humidity and watching the leaves change colors on the maple, sweet gum, and hickory trees.

Miami. I hate the heat and I hate the surrounding small towns.

Love the scenery, and some of the transplant culture from up North.

Celebration, (Central) Florida

Love: Pretty town, lots of community events, many things close by to do, close to theme parks (Disney, Sea World, Universal, Gatorland), close to beaches, everyone wants to visit, tons of restaurants, our walking/biking trails, birds and wildlife, good roads, sunshine, our condo, lots of friends nearby, great airports and cruise ports nearby, can swim most months in our nice pools, flowers/trees/green year round, casual (clothing, shoes, etc.)

Hate: Cost of living very high (taxes, electric, groceries, etc.), produce stinks, lightning storms, heat in the summer, large bugs, no good paying/professional jobs, schools not good, bad dangerous drivers, having to wear sunblock all the time, Red Tide, over-development (still!), homes not made well, not a lot of history around (we seek it out), not a lot of cultural things to do and those that we do go to are not on a par with Boston/New York. Adding allergies too! Never had them up north-awful here
