Pearl,
You could see my post about OTOW...On Top of The World.
These are not manufactured homes. They are block and very well built. We picked this area and community because we feel it would withstand a hurricane much better than being in a manufactured home on the coast.
These are land lease and pretty much maintance free. It is located in Ocala Fl. Central in the state. Looking on a map go north from orlando then west a bit. It is a wonderful place made up of several communities. If you are handy you could buy a villa at a reasonable price and give it a little TLC. Some have been updated but they ask more. This place is great and many are younger in age. You could still work if you wanted or if you want to use it as a place for your vacations while you stay up north you could also do that. Yards are maintained so you don't have to worry if you are not here. Many activies here, also education classes, dances, etc... The drive to stores and mall is short and hospital and doctors are close from our main gate. Very central Adult place to live. Your post didn't say what area you wanted, so I thought I would at least let you know about this place. I have reccommended a realtor to a couple of people and they use him and were very happy. If you would like, I'll give you his name. Send me a private message.

North Port has 5 real nice adult parks to the north of the city on highway 41. We live in La Casa , and feel that it has great ammenitys and close to everything . Presently our home is for sale right now . We moved here from Michigan a few years ago . We want a bigger lot and a more moderate season , so we can have a big garden . Looking towards the Tennessee area . This is a great area here , if that is what you are looking for .
