Last year we had the Feast of the Seven Fishes.
It was great, but our table might be less populated this year, we might just roast a turkey.

I grew up having no meat "Feast of Seven Fishes" on Christmas Eve and then midnight mass. Christmas day we had ham decorated with pineapples and cherries. It doesn't really matter location wise, just your traditions or tastes.

Actually last Christmas was Cured Salmon and Candied Tomato with Dill Cream, Stewed Apples and Grapes in Lemon Dressing for appetizer, Broiled Boneless Chicken Breast with Herbs and Tomato Confit for main course and for dessert Grand Marnier Souffle with Orange Vanilla Sauce.

Well, up North I used to make French Toast with sausage for Breakfast. Two days before I used make Portugese Sweet Bread (from scratch). For lunch I would have the sweet bread with fresh veggies with tuna dip and fresh fruit bowl with vanilla cream sauce. Then for dinner I could roast a peppercorn dijon mustard crusted tenderloin roast with baked potatoes and sour cream horseradish sauce and butter garlic fresh string beans. For dessert I would either have homemade fruitcake (made the week after Thanksgiving) or Triffle. I did this last year when both my daughters were in Florida, but with all the oven baking and cooking, it was way too HOT for it here.

Christmas was alway (more than Thanksgiving) a MAJOR eating even for my family since I was a kid in an Irish/Italian house in NYC. Dad did the roast beef with Yorkshire pudding while Mom and Grandma made the Antipasta and homemade Ravioli with gravy. Eating on Christmas was an all day event, from soup to desserts. I won't go into what they made for dessert.

Cannot do all the cooking, or eating, in a hot weather climate.
