Unless I see my property taxes drop significantly, I am out of here. Problem is, who will buy a home if taxes are staying high? Let's keep the pressure on OUR elected officials to give us a real drop in taxes. Don't let them get away with making Florida the next New Jersey!

Looks like George W bush and his brother have managed to get Florida into seriously deep debt and need to be forced to pay it all back. By the way, George W Bush is not just killing Florida; he's killing the entire country! Many people are literally moving in with the Eskimos in Canada to escape him!!!

Yea, wait until the tax and spend dems get ahold of your money. And heaven help us if billary wins in 08 with a dems control, you think things are rough now, wait and see, they will take every dime you got and give it to welfare or the illegals. I am no GW fan either, but can tell you from a heavy political follower, you aint seen nothing yet. Hide your wallet cuz the dems want it all.

Its a no-win situation for the Dems. Chimpy McFlitesuit has racked up such an astronomically huge debt with his war on the middle class / corporate playtime over in Iraq the Dems are going to get stuck dealing with it on thier watch since there is no way a repub will even come close to a presidency this time around. I know the Bu$h Corps appropriately named 'Backdoor tax' has insured my taxes to be the highest they've ever been three years runnning. I am paying a Socialist rate but not getting any of the benefits of socialism. The only thing good about the tax situation in our upcoming move to FLA is that there is no way FLA taxes can be as high as Vermonts. Im almost positive we will get a break next year.
Hopefully..........

Just be sure to add the cost of HOI to the taxes, then compare it to what you're paying in Vermont. Unless your HOI is sky-high up there, then the amount you save on taxes could be gobbled up by the difference in cost of HOI.

You can't escape it by renting. Owners of rental property get socked by astronomical insurance too, which they pass on to tenants in the rental rates.

("Chimpy McFlitesuit".... hehe, good one)
