"Even though Mr. Rothstein, a spiky-haired and alligator-shoed Lamborghini driver born in the Bronx (to a condom salesman), the scandal probably won't hit Manhattan as hard as Madoff's."

Another greedy individual making headlines again with another BIG ponzi scheme in S FL. It's weird how both Madoff and Rothstein were both originally from the same place (NY), and both relocated to the same place (S FL). It's almost like these schemers move to FL for a reason, as if they're drawn to S FL to commit fraud. Is it me, or does S FL seem to attract these selfish individuals? Maybe it's just me though.

I agree. Plus, scam artists in North Carolina are less rude.

LOL

I do think there is something to the idea that there is a culture of corruption in Miami-Dade especially. I've been dealing with the local governments down there for a while and always feel like I need to take a shower after I get off the telephone with them.

They flock to Florida because their houses can't be taken from them in that state.

Hey, let me know when scam artists and schemers run around NC like they do in S FL. When it comes to scams, S FL takes the cake dude. More than the entire state of NC.
