I have to agree that the Brooksville being a druggie area is just unfair. I moved here a year ago this month and to be honest, haven't seen any of the stuff that you are speaking of. I think it is a nice, quiet town. Yes, I am sure that we have our share of drugs here - just as in any place.

And anyone knows that it is not the low income people and families that do the drugs - it's mostly the people that have the money. I grew up in a middle class neighborhood on Long Island and the kids that did the drugs were the ones from money that could afford them.

And I watch the news all of the time, and don't Hernando county on all that much for drugs of any type - it's all Hillsborough and Pasco. Again, not to say that we don't have nay drugs here, but I'm sure no more than anywhere else that you could come up with.

Default Not fair to put words in a poster's mouth.

Re: this post -- "This thread is from a year ago. However I have to laugh at the "Margate has too many Hispanics" comments. What, NW Tampa doesn't have any Hispanics? Didn't see any mention of that yet they are literally the same thing both in terms of the area itself and the types of people. This thread was so "typical", too many druggies here, too many Hispanics there, my god we all are so sensitive!"

If you are ref. to my post, I DID NOT say TOO MANY Hispanics, I said HIGH Hispanic population..." I also noted that druggies are Every City, USA because that is what it is. What's wrong with the truth?

Was not necessarily referring to you . Notice I said "comments". Mostly referring to the druggie comments although it does surprise me that nobody mentioned NW Tampa having a large Hispanic population since it's about the same as Margate.

edit- I do hope the OP ended up picking NW Tampa because of the military presence in Tampa!!!
