Really??? Like winter/winter? I can't imagine! What would be the need for a big giant sweater on a normal basis. That being said I plan to bring all my clothes with me and put them away just in case!

Do you know when I lived in Florida when I was 22 years old I just about NEVER wore shorts? I wore jeans all the time.

I saved my winter clothes and not just because I go back to NY to see my kids in the winter. Do you know with this cold front how many people, at work and at shopping, have stopped me and said, "That looks nice and warm." I haven't even been wearing the warmest clothes I own. No need to.

Me either, mother nature has a mind of her own and does as she pleases. All the years I lived in FL before moving back to TN I never had any use for winter clothes...until this past week. Maybe by this weekend I can break out my shorts and sun tan lotion..lol..

I have lived in SW Florida for 3 years and still own 2 pairs of shorts. The same ones I came with from NY, which I mostly just use to clean the house in. I went out and bought all UVF block clothing.

Hey Tan, I just now noticed that under location on your posts, it says where my heart is!!!

Wow, does this mean that you've finally thrown in the towel and are now in love with Florida?!

See, Berry, what a lil od cold snap in Florida can do? How's that for someone dealing well with that snap!

Today was another perfect 10 to me... Amazing how many folks are dressing like they live in a cosmopolitan city for once. I'd take eight months of today and four months of our summer and call it a day..lol

Heck, I own 1 pair of shorts, stopped wearing them 6 years ago when I found out I have psoriasis on my knee that is exacerbated by sunlight. If I go outside in shorts for a day it becomes enflamed. I had it happen 6 years back and it got so bad I ended up with a staph infection in it. So I will, and can't wear shorts anymore. That helps in the summer when it is 150 degrees.

I really don't understand all this talk about no need to own winter clothes. Yeah, we don't need them all that often, but this time of year, usually at least once a week we have cold fronts pass through where the temps do get down in the 40's and below. I think winters where we've had no freezes at all are actually pretty rare (at least in central and northern FL). I have to admit, this is lasting longer than any we've ever had, but almost always after a few days of 60's and 70's its back in the 30's or 40's for a couple of days and we do need jackets, sweaters, long sleeves, etc.

I never got rid of my New England stuff, except for my ski jackets... Kept the rest.
