Customers come and go all the time. And attitudes vary with all types. But a true professional maintains a professional attitude throughout the process. As far as true colors are concerned look to thy self.

Default ............

I apologize mike,I should have specified, but im talking about those quoted in articles, those are usually greedy bastards, same people who were cheerleading the run-up in prices ,now call the ex buyers,or in this case would be sellers, stubborn and unrealistic....so I wasnt trying to generalize, although it might have sounded that way...but if you are one of the few honest R.E.agents ...my respects.... as far as the rat infested house goes...no comment....

Actually your business is to make money by helping people buy and sell real estate.

I am fascinated by the spin realtors are putting on the current market. For instance the Sarasota realtors have a campaign going on called Time 2 Buy. Briefly, its goal is to "build awareness and improve perception among home buyers that the time is right to buy a home in Sarasota". It includes TV slots, Q & A page, TV ads, email ads, mailings, banners and posters. Must have spent a pretty penny on it. Gives quite the insight where realtor’s heads are at, even in the still "hot" market of Sarasota.

The link is CLICK ME and click the "time2buy" logo in the center.

Anyway, I just read an article by a RE broker advising his clients that if they don't HAVE to sell right now, then DON'T because they're wasting everybody's time. It was refreshing to read that.
Well we seem to get grouped all together whether it is on here, in the news or anyplace else so I thought I would play the part.

But in reality the 2 major players in everything that was going on are the everyday Joe who thought he was going to become a R.E. tycoon but got in over his head and the lenders who relaxed all the rules to get more sales.
Of course you have your unscrupulous realtors that are in cahoots with some lenders but for the most part when it comes to the financial aspect the realtor for the most part will be kept aware of whats going on with the financing but not have too much to do with it.

I personally had 3-4 lenders, 3-4 inspectors, 3-4 contractors that I would recommend. In each case my client would get the card of each one of them so that they could make their own choice and there was no collusion.

Yes I may have overreacted with my last post but the bashing has pretty much been non-stop and from all angles.

I shouldn't have reacted as I did.
As I stated before the bashing seems to be non stop but that is no excuse.

And I do know what you mean about the people being interviewed.

I has stated in another post about a reporter doing a story in our area. I know of 3 brokers who were called for the story. The broker who ended up in the story had a different opinion of the 3 I knew. Her opinion made it in the story because it matched what the reporter wanted even though all 3 of the other brokers had a completely opposite opinion

Actually you are dead wrong.

Any business is in business to make money but the focus of the business is what makes them different.

Is a doctors business to make money. No, his or her business is medicine and making money is a by product of that business.

The only business whose business is to make money is the mint.

I am ASHAMED to be in the same line of business as people like you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YOU of ALL people should be out there trying to get the BEST deal for BUYERS or SELLERS, NO matter what your PERSONAL Opinion of the market is! (Unless you practice TRANSACTIONAL Agency!)

Tisk Tisk! Shame on you!

Oh yeah, you're right. A real estate agent is just the same as a doctor. My mistake.

Did you even read everything?
This had nothing to do with my personal opinion of the market.
