My g/f has an assignment for her enviromentle science class. We've decided for the perposes of the assignment to go to the Weeki Wachi Preserve.

1.) Are there any kind of "park rangers" or people who would at the reserve that would be able to provide info about the reserve?

2.) Were planing on staying at RodnNods bnb. Anyone stay there before? It'sll be 3 of us that are going on this 2 night vacay. I've never been kayaking or canoeing... Can all 3 of us fit in a canoe?

3.) Any one have advice as to the best place rent a canoe or has the best guide. Any advice for someone (me) who can not swim and is scared to death of florida wildlife?

Right across US19 is a hotel. You can walk across the road to the canoe rental right at the springs and 3 people should be no problem in one canoe.

Just up the road is the Environmental Studies Facility but I will have to check the real name and times it is open .

I'll get you the hotel name in a few and a little more info.

Here is a little map

The hotel is a Quality Inn
I couldn't get the phone number for the Environmental Center but you can get more info on this site.
Weekiwachee Preserve | Hernando County coast, west of Weeki Wachee
You can also check out Eagles Nest Sink and the rest of the Chassahowitzka Wildlife Management Area since it is right here also.
