It's common here to have coastal temperatures be 10 degrees warmer on winter nights than it is 30 miles north and inland.

As much as I dispise the really hot stuff, I am not liking to scrape ice off the window and freezing my butt off when dropping off my kiddo at the bus stop. My windshield was frosted... Never saw that in March before! Looking forward to the 50's at night, 70's during the day.

25 degrees? You must be reporting the temp from outside the state of Florida.

You can have the 90 degree temps. I'm already dreading the thought of April/May here in Orlando. The local news says its 55 degrees right now which is complete bull. It feels real nice, more like 70 degrees with the intense sun and approaching 90 degrees in my car.

No, I have Honeywell digital with a remote sensor which is on a tree about 35 ft from the house.

We are usually about 4-7 degrees colder than what any of the weather sites say we are. Usually the other thermometer which is out by the pool but close to the wall will be close to what the sites say.

I am about 18 miles south of Hernando and 5 miles from the gulf.

58 was the high here today and the low will be in the 40's-almost perfect (could be a little cooler). Best winter in years.

Really love this thread, thanks!

I am one of those variety-is-the-spice-of-life-types -- and I happen to like coolness (in more ways than one!).

But there is something about this winter that has precluded "variety" for me, and that is:

I really want to open my windows!!!

I went from a solid 8 months of having the A/C on until December, to cracking my windows open just a tad, ever since, with only a few days/nights where I could leave all my sliders wide open!

Gosh, I so look forward to being able to do this, for the scanty 2 to 3 months a year here! And I've gotten -- at max -- just 14 days of being able to fully open the windows and escape this artificial environment!

I want to be able to singe my Steak Diane and have the place air out through natural breezes.

I feel so insulted having to go from 90 to 45 with nothing in-between... :-(

I spent a month in Bradenton (Dec. thru Jan.) and was really bummed at the weather. I feel sorry for anyone who's rented for the winter season. It was either cold, raining, or cloudy most of the time. So I came home to PA just in time for the blizzards. Anyway, yes, the cold is really hard on my elderly mother, who has circulatory problems and moved to FL to escape the cold. Sorry I can't be more upbeat about the cold! I understand how you feel though -- when I lived in sunny Southern CA, we sort of enjoyed it when it rained -- it was a pleasant diversion.

I'm loving it. I love wearing my jeans. In previous winters, I'd put on jeans and by noon I'd have to switch into crops. Love wearing my sweaters from the back of the closet. They've been getting points in the shoulders from hanging for 5 years! Love it! Love it! Love wearing flannel pjs too. Pretty soon we'll be sweltering and bitching about the heat. Does anyone think the cold winter weather might possibly keep hurricanes down, you know... keeping the water temps cool?
