I love my UGGs, but have an idea that people look at your strangely if you wear them in beach-driving Florida. Am I wrong?
Since they are sheepskin, they are just great for Fall and Spring up north, as well as Winter, but I'm guessing waaaaay too hot for anywhere warm like Sarasota or even St. Augustine. Right? Wrong?

1) no one ever let personal comfort get in the way of fashion

2) even Sarasota get a bit of a winter by Florida standards, and once you've been down here for a while, it would seem perfectly logical to dig them out of the closet for those too chilly bits of December, January, or February

Plenty of women wear them here, most unfortunately. My sister loves them.

May I ask what region you are in in Florida? Aren't they boiling hot during summer months like from May to October? Or is she just extra-tough?

Sure, I am near Tampa. We had an extra cold winter and she wore them off and on from about early December through February and maybe even a little in March. If it gets below 60 it feels chilly once you've dealt with the summer months of heat for years!

I have some sheepskin lined houseshoes which are fantastic up North here...for about 9 months of the year. Summer hits and those puppies go into the closet unless I want to fry my feet with heat. Too hot for me! That's why I was wondering how you could wear UGGS there during the hot months.

For the most part most people wear sandals, flip flops, high heels or tennis shoes. However farther South you will see men wearing cowboy boots. I mean they wear cowboy boots every single day. Some have switched to tennis shoes over the years.

I see the girls wearing them at the mall with shorts. All I think when I see this is... stinky feet!

Considering the aggressive air conditioning you find in so many places down here, maybe not so stinky.

I'm not really sure how they look at you. Must share this:

Was Christmas shopping for my family and was passing through the shoe department on my way to another. *I didn't need a thing for myself*. Out of the corner of my eye, I caught sight of the most GORGEOUS suede boots I'd ever seen in my life!!! *Don't need boots in FL*. Well, it wouldn't hurt to just get a better look. Wouldn't hurt to touch them either. Oooohhhh...they felt great! And...they had a very wide cuff of fur at the top of each gorgeous boot. Softest fur I ever felt! Decided it couldn't hurt to try them on. Asked the shoes sales lady for my size. No others available....only the pair on display and they are "clearance" price. Hmmm...they're 3 sizes too big. Still couldn't hurt to try them on, right? Ahhh...nice and warm, big and loose, perfect looking for Siberia. They're now MINE and I LOVE 'em!
