Just FYI - For those considering building homes, the link below is to a bill that has passed the House and Senate. I'm not sure I'm attaching the bill in the state in which it was passed by the House and Senate as I just rec'd word of this today, and this was all I could find for now, but it makes some changes to notices of commencement. If signed, the law will take effect on 7/1/07, which means your builders, if they have not filed their notices of commencement prior to 7/1, will have to utilize the new format after 7/1. See other info re: claims of lien, too. Others in the know herein may be able to shed some further light on this.
