Can anyone tell me which cities or areas in Florida have the largest population of retirees?

Thanks!

In terms of metro areas, Punta Gorda/Port Charlotte is by far the oldest part of the state. The median age there is 54 years, and 34% of the population is 65 or older.

In terms of big retirement communities, I'd say The Villages north of Orlando.

Agreed.....The Villages is a huge, one of a kind community......although there are many other great communities nearby....
