If Florida were not hot like it is I would stay here. It's so hot year after year. It grates on ones nerves after a while. it was 104 with the index at 2pm today, it is 84 right now feels like 93. That is too hot.

This winter was the best in years. I wish we had 12 months of that weather. Then it would be nice- you could go outside and do things.
I keep seeing people say how most people get tired of the heat yet the state still grows in population. Those 2 things just do not seem to compute. You would think if MOST people get tired of it then more would move back north but they don't.

And some of us moved to Florida for the usual warm weather and the unusual cold weather kept us inside this winter.

Florida IS hot; always will be during summer, it's not called the Sunshine State for its rain or snow. It's the best weather for people who enjoy outdoor water activities.

Great way to spend 7 months out of the year.

I don't understand. Do you live in Florida state? If you do, why?

Apparently. Been here almost 39 years and while I am sure someone will pop up and call me a Florida newbie lol, I can honestly say I am loving this heat and do every year. If I never have to see another winter again, and by winter I mean anything under 65 degrees, I will die happy. And warm.

I feel like I can't go outside after 8am or before dark. I do what I have to do, but other than going to work, stores, or walking the dog, I stay indoors. Even the dog doesn't want to walk during the day. Of course, he has a fur coat.

Yeah, I'm getting there soon. October is the best I can do. Save, save, save...$$$ Thanks 2Goldens.

The heat index down here has been really high, pretty out of the ordinary, 102-109 so far, for about the last 2 weeks it has been that way. And for whatever reason, I have been stuck outside a lot recently, so it has made me more crabby. Plus my boss retired and left Saturday so I have been a bit sad about that.
