Hi all! The other half, children and I plan on moving to FL next year. I'm just starting to research everything. I'm at this point mostly interested in the Gulf Coast. We're coming from a Navy town and I'm a gov't contractor. We're currently located near Patuxent River NAS which is NAVAIR HQ. I have also worked at NAVSEA HQ in Washington, DC. I'm interested in finding a similar way of life in a more desierable area (that being Florida). Any input/opinions on Navy towns, employment, schools, housing, etc would be greatly appreciated!

I lived in FL for a year before I moved back to Annapolis, MD and now in the process of the kids and I moving back to TX. I believe Jacksonville has a big military Navy base and I've heard that it's a nice area. My brother lives close to JAX, Punta Vedra.
