Hello All

Wife and I have been house shopping in Florida twice. We are looking for homes newer then 2000 with 3 plus bedroom and 2 bath. A pool is a plus. We are looking for low crime cities on the east coast.

We have looked in Port St Lucie and Viera so far and loved both areas. We want to stay within an hour of Patrick Air Force Base. Port St Lucie is right on the edge of that. We also want a city with up to date areas. Such as newer stores and such which both these cities have (Viera the whole place is new like and Port St Lucie has a lot of nice ares like the stores on St Lucie West Blvd)

So any other cities that people would recommend that are within an hour and have low crime? We have another trip on the horizon.

Thanks for any info.

I would stick with Melbourne, Palm Bay and Viera all close by.. The only other area I thought of might be the Port St John and Canaveral Groves areas up by the Beeline that are an easy commute. Though there are nice communities in PSL and especially in SE metro Orlando all are a very long commute to make every day.

No idea about crime stats but all the people who work at the cape must live closer than Port Lucie.
