It was really good. Here's the recipe:

2 pounds of lean ground beef (I didn't have quite that much)
1 envelope onion soup mix (I used Lipton's)
1/2 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup flour
2 T vegetable oil
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1 envelope au jus gravy mix
3/4 cup water

Mix ground beef, onion soup mix, bread crumbs, and milk. Shape into 8 patties.

Heat oil in med size frying pan, dredge patties with flour, brown patties on both sides. Place in crock pot in a pyramid shape. In another bowl, mix chicken soup, au jus mix, and water. Pour over meat. Cook about 4-5 hours until meat is done.

Our dinner tonight was another crockpot winner: Chicken in a cream sauce over rice. I know that I am being presumptuous, but here's the recipe if anyone is interested.

Recipe calls for 4 chicken breasts but I only used 2. 2 T. butter, 1 package of dry Italian salad dressing mix (I used Good Seasons), 1 can Golden Mushroom Soup, 8 ounce container chive and onion cream cheese, 1/2 cup dry white wine (I used a little more), and the chicken.

Melt the butter in a saucepan and then add everything but the chicken. Stir often and cook until a nice consistency and everything is mixed well. Put chicken in crockpot and then pour sauce over. Cook on low until chicken is done--about 4 hours.
Thanks! Sounds so good! I love my crockpot!

I spent several hours in my kitchen yesterday making cabbage rolls and stuffed bell peppers but at least the freezer is getting full for those cold winter months ahead. I'm sad when DH doesn't BBQ. He says once the time changes he is done cooking outside. It is pretty cold but......oh well he has some great recipes he cooks in the house too. Anyhow we had stuffed peppers and fried cabbage from the small leaves left from the cabbage last night for dinner. Not sure about tonight yet....

I love pierogies with butter, garlic, and sour cream. I haven't had them in years cuz they really send the blood sugar soaring.
I was at an assembly Saturday and Sunday so DH cooked for us both days. Saturday we had hamburgers, hotdogs, and brats off the grill, ranch beans, salad, and fried macaroni and cheese. Yesterday we had grilled porkchops, coleslaw, assorted pickles, and leftover ranch beans.
