If it wasn't game night for my team, I'd want this meal. It's nice and cool enough outside. Just right for comfort food.

I'll either make a stove top chili or pick up some brats and boil them in beer.

Leftovers. Leftover bbq chicken, a couple ribs left, and many many chocolate covered strawberries that were sent as a early birthday gift. Birthday week has begun! Mother-in-law sent me 24!!!

Is there anybody here who thinks I should've brought them in to work like my coworker does?

Coleslaw...grr.

I shredded half the cabbage yesterday, and taking my TV food guy's advice, I salted that half of the cabbage, and put it into a colander to drain.

No fluid was released. Shredded the other half of the cabbage (no salt this time), and two carrots. Added my yogurt and sugar mixture (I'm trying that instead of mayo), put it back in the fridge.

Few hours later? Soupy coleslaw. Not what I was looking for. I was trying to avoid that aspect.

Did you drain the yogurt or use greek yogurt? You need to do that to use yogurt in cooking in that way. Yogurt has a lot of liquid in it (whey). Also the whey is very sour so drained yogurt has a milder flavor.

I use low fat Dannon yogurt and put it in a very fine mesh drainer I have just for this purpose. In the long run buying the yogurt drainer is much cheaper than using cheese cloth or buying greek yogurt.
