I forgot Kats, I had some fried Frito Pie too. That was pretty good but not really worth $5 for what you get. Chili on a tortilla chip, battered and fried and served with a container of sour cream and a packet of salsa.
I think I'd better have a salad for lunch today after all that fair fare. I've got some Corner Bakery taste test thing tonight for dinner - don't know what I'll be sampling but they will give me a $50 gift card.
Make pizza dough, cover it with tomato sauce & dried herbs, layer of mozzarella, Italian sausage crumbled all over, layer of romano followed up with some sliced mushrooms. Fold the dough over these ingredients either fold in half or long shape like french bread. Be sure to seal all seams bake in a 400º oven 20-25 minutes or until dough is golden.
Tonight a request of mac & cheese baked in the oven along with some fried sausage patties and deviled eggs.

Have you made Laura707's Dorito Mexican Casserole? When I think of Frito Pies, I think of that. It's fabulous.
Lamb patties with mint jelly, home made scalloped potatoes with cheese (does that mean they're au gratin?), fresh green beans.
