I think that's it.....
With any luck, we'll be living in the U.S this time next year..will do the same thing, and can we come??

Nothing much; budget won't allow it. I like to spend holidays away from crowds anyway.

My neighborhood grocer has a bbq rib sale, so I plan to get those and some cole slaw. I'll bake the ribs.

Thank goodness I have cable, as I'll be in front of the telly trying to catch some good movies.

With the storm in the gulf I do believe it will be raining that whole weekend. It's raining right now and if forecasted to rain thru Monday. So I will do chores in the house and veg in front of the TV and of course visit CD often.

A tradition here in my area of Maryland is to go to Antietam Battlefield for a glorious fireworks display and music provided by The Maryland Symphony orchestra. It has become a nearly all day event...people bring blankets, chairs, canopys (for shade) , and coolers full of picnic foods and drinks. It gets more and more crowded each year so, I'm not sure if we'll be going but, it is a grand event for the determined among us. A Happy and Peaceful Fourth to all....

Like the famous entertainer Fred-erick Flintstone once said "EVERYONE INTO THE PEWEL!!!"

Pool party- Tri-tip, Alpine hot dogs, Alpine hotlinks, Portuguese beans, potato salad, chips and guacamole, BEER, Shasta Tiki Punch, rolls, Margaritas (on the rocks), Fresh fruit salad, deviled eggs, homemade ice cream, fresh cherry pie.

Almost forgot- grilled white corn on the cob. Tomato, purple onion, basil, artichoke heart and mozzarella salad with olive oil vinaigrette.
