I don't like foods which are heavy on cheeses. A slice of cheddar, American or Swiss on a burger is fine. But, heavy cheese items make me feel bloated.
None. I used to buy into certain foods giving me reflux issues, but it came down to eating too fast, eating too much at one sitting, wearing my belt too tight and lying down too soon after eating. And having a ton of stress. And smoking. When I don't do those things, I don't have issues.
Tomatoes, tomato-based products, bell peppers, and spicy foods have been giving me acid reflux lately. I switched to using just olive oil and sauteed veggies on my pasta, instead of tomato sauce, and I feel a lot better.
Green bell peppers for me. It tastes gross and doesn't agree with me either. I do like any other color bell peppers and any other green peppers like anaheim/poblano etc.
I have cut way back on red meat and noticed that I rarely have stomach issues. I eat red meat a few times a month.
What foods or spices do you find hard to digest? Which foods or spices seem to upset your stomach? I've been unable to eat more than a child's portion of food in recent years. I eliminate thinks like bread (which i love) to leave room for other things. I find grits hard to digest and rice very easy on the stomach.
If I could eat less at one time, my scales wouldn't look so bad: I think the only problem I really have is hot, spicy foods, and I do love them. They don't bother me at the time so much, just the next day or so. I have more trouble when I eat to fast or feel stressed, not with food itself.
