I like to eat broccoli because I really feel the effect of all the great nutrients the next day. But, the only way I like it is with lots of cheese and butter - not so good.
Broccoli in salad, with different dressings;borccoli in stir fry(add carrots, celery, peas, bean sprouts etc.
Broccoli and chicken baked w/ cream of mushroom soup...
Many ideas online.
HW
It's good in all sorts of pasta dishes - cold salads or with warm sauces. I even like it raw like cauliflower, though.
Most often if I have broccoli it's either steamed with just a dab of butter or no butter as a side dish - or I'll have it on a baked potato for a meal. Duh - also in stir frys - wasn't even thinking of that til I saw the post above mine after I hit send LOL.
I do oven roasted broccoli with garlic-really good
Preheat oven to 400
Cut up broccoli into small florets-discard the stem
Add small cloves of garlic-or cut larger cloves in half
Drizzle olive oil to coat
Sprinkle with sea salt & a little crushed red pepper flakes-add more if you like it hot.
Bake for approx 20-25 minutes until broccoli sofft and garlic is browned.
You can also substitute cauliflower.

^^^I second this recommendation but add a little lemon.
blanch the broccoli, then saute in olive oil, and add minced garlic at the end, dont add too soon because the garlic will burn.
Add a bit of salt and pepper, good parmesan if you have any, some folks like a little lemon zest grated on afterward, or a bit of a balsamic drizzle.
You can take it asian by sauteeing with veg oil and the garlic, and adding a bit of sesame oil at the end, and a handful of cashews sprinkled over.

I have to agree, this is a great recipe. Barefoot Contessa has a very good version of this, if it's not the same as this one. I've made it a few times and I remember adding some Parmesan at the end.
