Someone told me you can't freeze it because of the mayonnaise base. I am about to buy a pound of it.

Anyone know? Thanks!!!

Real lobster or imitation? After being in the seafood biz for years, I personally would not.

No. It loses its texture and won't taste very good at all. Best you buy lobster meat (which you CAN freeze) portion it out and then take out enough to make your own salad when you feel in the mood.

A serving should be between 4 and 8 oz. Let's say its 4. That would be 4 servings. I think that if you get right down close to 32 F. you can keep these things a little longer. I put stuff like this in tupperware and then in a bowl and add a little ice to the bowl and just change it every day. I think that gets your 3 days to 5.
