Usually, I place it in an empty jar and toss it into the garbage. But now I have 2 big bowls of old oil I will not use anymore.
I dont know what to do with it? And I dont have anymore small jars.
I cant just throw it in the garbage. Sanitation workers will notice the plastic & leave a ticket.

Ideas are welcome. Thanks.

Very simple ! just bring the jars or jugs to your local auto parts store they will recycle it for you at no cost.

Where I live--rural Nebraska--I can burn it along with my trash but you probably can't do that in Brooklyn.

The main reason I don't use my electric fryer as much as I'd like to is the sheer AMOUNT of oil it requires plus the disposal of same.

filter it and burn it in your car....if its diesel.

Ask your local cafe if they can recycle it for you.

Google "Cooking oil recycling disposal Texas" to find what's in your area.

Most restaurants have a service that regularly picks up their used cooking oil. Perhaps your nearest fast food restaurant will let you add your oil to their receptacle. The restaurants are actually paid by the recycling companies that pick up the oil, so I suspect they won't mind accepting yours.
