Out for breakfast at ~~ Christiana Hospital. Actually, it was one of the best breakfasts that I have had in a long time. For $5.59, I got scrambled eggs cooked exactly how I like them, bacon, homefries, and two huge pancakes, along with a choice of beverage--I chose iced tea. I thought I was just getting bacon and eggs. There was enough food for at least four people, it tasted great, and was really hot. Everything is cooked to order. So, Darcy will get three pieces of bacon and I guess the stray cats (if there are any around the hospital--not saying there are) will eat 1 1/2 pancakes, lots of homefries and some leftover eggs. I'm set, at least until dinner, and cannot believe how much food they serve. It is definitely better to eat in their cafeteria than to be a patient here.

Did something weird this a.m. Stirred leftover rice into tomato soup until it was no longer soupy. Then scrambled egg and melted cheese on top. Baked it. Was good. Weird, but good.

A typical breakfast for me. Tall glass of water, max pulp OJ, tea, egg, Toaster Strudel and hot oatmeal. When it gets warmer I'll normally forgo the tea and have cold milk and cereal instead of oatmeal. This what gets me going each morning after a five mile jog.
