Homemade turkey meatballs, brown rice, salad, some kind of green veg. I have a bag of snap peas I need to use, so I'll probably stir-fry them with a little oil, soy sauce, and sesame seeds.

Those meatballs sound really good! Your snap pea stir fry does, too.

Tonight I am cooking up a pork roast in my dutch oven and baking it slowly. I'm going to add carrots, turnips, parsnips, potatoes, onion and garlic and make a gravy from the juice and that will be dinner!

Hang on a second! You mean this "new way of eating for 2011" is for lunch AND dinner????

I'm kidding. You're doing GREAT! I'm proud of you! And I wish that I had that sort of self-discipline myself.

Lasagna for hubby...a small portion to go along with our new eating plan. Some rotisserie chicken and a salad for me....oh joy...and no dessert

I'm on the healthy habits bandwagon too!! Geez, you'd think it was new year's resolutions time or something?!

I don't believe in deprivation but in moving more and exercising portion control. Walked 4 miles yesterday and had PB&J for dinner. I've lost the 3-4 pounds I put on in December, hurrah! Now if we can just do something about the extra 20+ hanging around...

Tonight will be the breakfast for dinner we didn't have last night.
