Brazilian Black Beans from Joy of Cooking. I usually put them on corn tortillas and top with sour cream (oh soo good) but probably in honor of diet will eat them plain tonight, as I've got a major cheat planned for this afternoon!
I've been invited to Keller's for a birthday party. An old-fashioned drive-in burger joint in Dallas. Their burgers and onion rings are delish and everything (including beer for those inclined) is really really cheap.
I'm stuffing and roasting a chicken, with mashed potatoes and gravy. For a treat I found some heirloom carrots, purple white and almost red ones, to roast on the side.
