I think my mother would leave if I put either of those in front of her, ATTW3! LOL!

I finished my Thanksgiving shopping today ... or so I thought. My husband helped me put all the groceries away, and he asked, "Are you going to a different store for the rest of the things?" What other things? "For the stuffing and candied yams." Argh. I make those every year and try all different recipes, but I always have lots leftover and no one eats them! So I didn't plan for them this year. I told him if he wants candied yams he has to make them himself.

What a mean wife.

Broccoli casserole (chopped broccoli, cheddar cheese, cream of mushroom soup, and some stuffing mix).

Stuffing isn't common, but I think I may have had it once or twice outside of Thanksgiving. I don't really have cranberry sauce any other time, either. Everything else is pretty much fair game.

I make my customary shrimp stuffing for Thanksgiving. This year I have to cook a lot of that to go around for the whole family because it spread like wildfire that I make a mean shrimp stuffing. Soooo...your boy is going to be busy helping with Thanksgiving dinner.

Have you tried a sweet potato scuffle? I have a great recipe that I guarantee that all of you will live.

Oyster dressing as it called here. And I eat it all year long, along with cranberry sauce on chicken, pork, and turkey. Who ever said that you can only eat food at cretin parts of the year was stupid.
