My 88-year-old widower neighbor across the street was nice enough to bring me 2 slices of his homemade pineapple upside-down cake today. I just finished a slice and it was delicious!

That's what I'm trying to figure out! (What to eat?) I have nothing in the house that cooks quickly. All my meat is frozen. I don't feel like snacking. And my takeout/delivery choices don't sound appealing. I don't own a microwave (never use them).

So, right now, I guess I'm eating my heart out that everyone else is eating!

just finished breakfast about 30 min ago: we had Belguim Waffles, sausage and an egg, plus juice. I know that is a lot but we only eat trwice on Sundays: right after church (if we go) and then about 5pm.

Big salad of mixed greens, shredded fresh parmesan, walnuts, fresh ground black pepper, and balsamic vinaigrette. Chunks of cantaloupe from yesterday's farmer's market haul.
