Default It is okay to eat avocados daily?

I have become a big fan of the avocado and I have admittedly, been eating one a day for about a month. I know they are high in fat but don't have any cholesterol since they are a plant food. But I am confused as to what the implications of them being high in fat are. Is this bad for arteries and heart?

Color me confused. Why wouldn't it be OK to eat an avocado a day?

If you ate a dozen a day, that would be another story.

My nutritionist told me just 1/4 of avocado with my toasts for breakfast and 1/4 for tea time. No more than that. But I had those portions daily for weeks and it was ok. So I guess it's all right with moderation. Like everything in life

Enjoy!

I eat an avocado every other day-they are heart healthy and an artery cleaner.

Besides the fact that they're high in calories, is there any reason not to eat two or more per day? I guess I'm confused what is meant by high in fat. I always associate that with being bad for your cholesterol, but in terms of a vegetable (or I guess technically fruit), besides putting on weight, what are the negatives of eating several per day?

The fat in avocados doesn't have cholesterol because it is not animal fat.

Risk of boredom?

I'm sorry. I'm just not understanding your plight here. If you want to eat an avocado every day, go for it. If not, don't.

The only "implications" in avocados being a higher-fat fruit is that, ounce for ounce, an avocado will have more calories than, say, a peach, which is all carbohydrate. If your food plan can accommodate the increased fat grams, or if you are willing to reduce fat elsewhere in your diet, then avocado yourself crazy!
