I vote pita chips and hummus. It's more filling, since hummus has protein. I remember when I ate just chips and salsa for a "light lunch", it almost felt like I ate nothing it all; I was hungry an hour later. I ended up supplementing it with a vending machine sandwich, which negated the point of eating a light lunch. But one pita bread (not chips) and hummus actually filled me up pretty nicely. I got through the rest of the workday with no feeling of hunger at all. (Pita chips would probably be similar.)
Really? We eat chips and salsa for lunch all the time, IF there's a football game on! I always feel so stuffed I don't want to eat supper at all!
My husband doesn't like hummus, and he can't eat pita, so mine was an easy vote.
I like both actually but prefer hummus and pita chips.
