I LOVE waffles at IHOP. No syrup, just some strawberries on the side.
No meat of any kind.

I also LOVE IHOP, Sillypups. Their waffles are great. I like the pancakes too. I usually get: 2 eggs over hard, sausage links, hashbrowns (not crunchy) & a short stack. Their butter pecan syrup in the BOMB!!

I went to a Mom & Pop's diner (Barksdale's) in Memphis this past weekend. It's so good there. I make sure I go for at least one breakfast there when I'm visiting Memphis.

Extra crispy bacon and hashbrowns. No toast, pancakes, waffles, eggs or juice. I'm not a fan of eggs, syrup or jam. I like juice just not in the morning.

JenniferGlass.... some things just make some people happy and waffles are my favorite. I can't eat them as often as I like being a Diabetic of 41 years with all the complications that go with it, but once in a blue moon Hubby & I splurge (diet wise) & go to IHOP.
If this makes me crazy... well then... I'm crazy. I am crazy about dogs, that's forsure.

NAN....
Thank you so much. I LOVE YOU.
I tried looking for it on the web I even tried Kopykats recipe site. a long time ago with no luck.

I will tell Hubby to try the Butter pecan syrup on his pancakes next time. We love pecans, and all nuts. Guess I'm "crazy" about nuts, too. LOL...

So in case I didn't say it ................
Thank you very much from the crazy waffle gal LOL...LOL...LOL...

Moderator cut: snip Not really, maybe she just had some really good waffles ~

French toast and orange juice. That's my favorite breakfast from childhood and it's never changed; always have it when I go to IHOP or someplace similar.

Ididn't realize you were diabetic...I was checking on recipes for waffles, so maybe these might be useful for you? (They've some more complicated and easily adaptable recipes on their site)

Vegan Waffles Recipe #18346 - Foodgeeks
Waffles served with Forest Fruits, Honey and Creme Fraiche Recipe #4953 - Foodgeeks

Second one w/fruits could be changed with little problem ~

I used to love Denny's bacon, eggs and pancakes when I used to travel to different states for work. Unfortunately for me, there are no Denny's around here so I make due with Ihop's bacon, eggs and pancakes.
