How can you eat healthy and save money?

Didn't go through all three pages, but has anyone mentioned growing your own veggies? I know not everyone has a huge piece of land, but even if you just put some pots on your balcony or patio and grow your own tomatoes, corn, etc it could help. And save money. We've put aside half an acre of the pasture that's dedicate to just the garden and love it. I enjoy picking the veggies for dinner and harvesting my own salad every day!
