I am one of the few unfortunate people to whom cilantro tastes like soap. I was just wondering what it tastes like to everyone else. I still cook with it but don't use very much mainly putting it in pasta salads and such for color.

Parsley spiked w citris without the refreshing flavor. Not "soapy" but strong and foul! Always looks like it should be delicious though.

I'm not a fan of cilantro. I think it has a little bit of a licorice taste, like someone left some anise seed in water and then used the water. To me, its an herb looking for a dish. Nothing the world could not do without just fine.

Not soapy but I dont know how i'd describe it. Bitter, fresh, green
There are certin things it tastes great in, like white Chili and Salsa's.

I love it! I have read, though, about the percentage of people to whom it tastes soapy. I can't imagine. I don't really like salsa without it.

It does taste soapy to me, but I LOVE it. Especially on Mexican food and Thai food!
