While there's no excuse to eat PH here in Chicago, I still regard them as the best of the major chains, for what that's worth. Spanks Domino's, Papa John's, Little Sneezer's, Godfather's, etc.
ITA.....I love pizza and perfer to eat something from one of the local pizza shops but Pizza Hut is not bad. I must admit that I havent had pizza hut in at least a year so maybe things have chnaged. The reason being that I thought they were getting a bit expensive. The pizzas are so small for the prices. I also would choose PH over any other national chain. Dominios is absolutely terrible. I can tolerate Papa Johns on ocassion.
Thin crust with pepperoni and sausage. the only good pizza joint here is a little hole in the wall place that I can never remember the name.
The strangest thing I had on a pizza was someones tooth.

That's my favorite kind of pizza! But without the tooth. If I'm not mistaken, genuine Italian pizza has a thin crust rather than a thick crust, like we see so often here in this country.
There's a little hole-in-the-wall Italian place near my home that serves great Italian dishes. Never tried the pizza, though.

Pizza is my favorite food by far, but I think if I found someones tooth on my pie I would never eat it again. Totally Gross!!!
Where did you get the chicken and mashed potato pizza from?
From a chain restaurant here in the West called Claim Jumper - they have a big stone pizza oven and their pizzas (and whole huge menu) are really good. They stopped serving the fried chicken, mashed potato (red potatoes mashed with skins), caramelized onions, and gravy pizza several years ago - I think it sounded repulsive to many and it didn't sell well - but I'm telling you if was absolutely to die for and I don't even eat fried chicken or gravy.
We have been barbecuing pizzas on the grill all summer - it is so incredibly easy and delicious.
Here is the dough I use and it turns out beautifully and couldn't be simpler - it requires only a very quick one minute kneading.....it is a thin, crisp crusted pizza dough (Neapolitan style) and is perfect for the barbecue or oven.
pizza dough
3/4 cup warm water (105°F to 115°F)
1 envelope active dry yeast
2 cups (or more) all purpose flour
1 teaspoon sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons olive oil
Pour 3/4 cup warm water into small bowl; stir in yeast. Let stand until yeast dissolves, about 5 minutes.
Brush large bowl lightly with olive oil. Mix 2 cups flour, sugar, and salt in processor. Add yeast mixture and 3 tablespoons oil; process until dough forms a sticky ball. Transfer to lightly floured surface. KNEAD dough until smooth, adding more flour by tablespoonfuls if dough is very sticky, about 1 minute. Transfer to prepared bowl; turn dough in bowl to coat with oil. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and let dough rise in warm draft-free area until doubled in volume, about 1 hour. PUNCH down dough. DO AHEAD Can be made 1 day ahead.* Store in airtight container in refrigerator. ROLL out dough according to recipe instructions. (Start in center of dough, working outward toward edges but not rolling over them.)
*We found that this dough, made ahead actually lasts up to 3 days - I did have to punch the dough down after it had been in the fridge for a few hours. I also added to the dough dried pasta seasoning from Trader Joe's - loved all the herbs in the pizza dough.
Just roll the dough out thinly into 11 inch round making the edges slightly thicken (we did 7 to 8 inch individual pizzas), brush one side with olive oil and place on a grill that is preheated to about 450. Close lid and cook about 2 minutes - making sure pizza isn't charring on the bottom (a tiny bit of char is good)....we use a gas grill and keep the center burned on medium while the two side burners are on high - so if the pizza crust is cooking too quickly, we move it over to the center, cooler part.
After the pizza has quickly cooked on one side, take it off the grill onto a platter or cookie tray (use a peel if you are making a large pizza) - close the grill cover, flip the pizza over so the cooked side is up - brush edges of crust with olive oil and then quickly place your sauce and toppings on the pizza and then put it back into the grill for about 2 minutes or until the cheese melts and toppings are heated through - make sure you do not mound your toppings in the middle or they will not cook/melt properly.
Two weeks ago, we served 26 people make-your-own barbecued pizzas in our back yard - cooking 4 pizzas every 5 minutes (my husband is the grill master).
These barbecued pizzas are awesome, quick and delicious.
You like it more than Little Caeser's? Im the opposite. If any chain pizza store resembled Chicago's pizza in the least bit, it would be Caeser's. Its still not close to quality, but its not bad. Its a shame they closed most of them down...
does anyone watch "The Office"? there was an episode where Michael had to go to NYC for business. The cameras were filming him on the street and he's saying something like "I LOVE to come to NYC for the best pizza in the world!!!" - :::camera pans to a SBARRO in the background:::: - I nearly died laughing.

Wow...those people in Hollywood must've been eating too many bean sprouts, they sure don't know good pizza!
