When I find good fruit, I eat it up as fast as I like, and buy as much as I can eat.

The human body evolved to eat all it could, when it could, and retain the benefits of the nutrients just as efficiently as if they were eaten a little bit at a time.

Like, when grapes are on special, I'll eat several pounds in 24 hours. I don't like cold fruit, so I keep mine at room temperature until it's gone, sitting out where I can see it and remember to eat it.

I bought lately lot of peaches on sale for they were very ripe. I decided to make chutneys, sherbet or ice cream, freeze sliced peaches, diced them and put them in ice cube boxes, filled with water and when you serve a drink you throw one of them in a glass or some in a pitcher. Looks pretty. I also make Compote and freeze it in containers. All this I do with a lot of different fruit.

You can use fresh fruit as a topping for pancakes or waffles, make into a peach-mango salsa to serve with chips or coat chicken etc. with and cook, make smoothies, free whole, cubed or crushed for later use, or make freezer jam (which is much easier to make and fresher tasting than regular jam).
