I wondered that too. The other word for "donkey"?

I know this is old but as others have said there are tons of other meats.

I've also had camel, goose, duck, pheasant, pigeon, guinea fowl, rabbit, squirrel, octopus and squid and sea urchins and limpets and many other sea and lake catches, alligator, elk, deer, wild boar, mutton & lamb and horse meat. Oh, and earth worms on a dare as a kid.

Hopefully I haven't ever been served domestic pet animals (cats, dogs and so on) but who knows really....

Absolutely yes in the United States, but people from many countries post here so perhaps that person was in a different country.

You didn't have venison, bear, or rabbit, which I have had. On the list I have had:
Chicken
Pork
Lamb
Turkey
Elk

rabbit is tasty...

i once saw a brochure to sell rabbits, and it had "bunny burgers" -for some reason,,made me chuckle,,

Beef, chicken, pork, lamb, turkey, buffalo, eel, squid, deer, and duck is all I can think of right now.

I've never had horse meat, but that is a food that is eaten in many cultures.
