Shake n bake is still around, style is a little different,,,, I use to have one as a kid, was so fun to make all the goody's, wished I could have made big portions, hehe.
Never heard of UNO bars nor PEP cereal,, Nicco's yes, & they are still around, good tasting too.
Happy 53rd. to you & hubby, Nita. I beat ya, I'm there right now, but not for long either.
We are apparently talking about 2 different things. I thought you were referring to the Shake and Bake chicken coating. Their commercials used to have a goofy little girl in them and they would say something like "it's not fried, it's shake and bake" and the little girl would stand there and say "and I helped".
I will always remember Slo Pokes because when I was six the filling came out of my tooth and it was stuck in the Slo Poke. They were not made to bite and crew on, but what the heck I was just a little kid.

I believe you are thinking of an Easy Bake oven.
You are absolutely correct, I was thinking of easy bake oven. Now back to the Nostalgia food items.
I remember shake and bake: do any of you remember UNO bars or NICCOS? If you do, you are as old as me or almost and you can guess how old I am: Today is 53 years for hubby and me (no we were not babies when we got married) Oh and there was PEP cereal. I didn't really like it, but it came with a toy. Too bad my sister always got the toy (actually I think it was a button) she was older than me.
