Been a little chilly the past coupla nights and comfort food sounded like a good idea so I made one of my favorites, Porcini/Italian sausage/green pea risotto with a nice red wine. I'm veeeerrrrrrrrrry comfortable
I made homemade chili tonight. It was okay, and my husband really liked it, but I wasn't that impressed. I still think Jason's Deli in Norman, OK, has the best chili. Anyway, we had crackers with it and ice cream for dessert. (If anyone has a good chili recipe, please send it to me. I just can't seem to get the hang of making it.)

This is how I make it, and I won 3rd in a chili cookoff. 2 Pkgs McCormick Original Chili mix (disregard package insructions), 2# ground beef, 1 lg can crushed tomatoes, 1 reg size can diced tomatoes, 2 cans kidney beans with liquid. Brown burger, add mix and other ingredients, simmer for a half hour. Done. If you like more heat, add cayenne pepper.
