I put some carrots, celery and onions in a pot of water with the leftover liquid from a can of mackerel, and made a nice chowder, and then cooked in some drop egg dumplings.

Tonight I made home made Gyoza (Japanese pot stickers) with pork, cabbage, green onions, garlic, ginger filling. Steamed rice, vegetable egg drop soup. I made like 50 of them and we ate them all!

I can't stay away from a good juicy hamburger from the grill ... I use those big sesame seed buns and then ... a big slice of rosy red tomato fresh from the neighbor's garden ... vidalia onion, lettuce and mayo. I sauteed some mushrooms to dump on hubby's while he cooked the meat. You just can't beat a hamburger with garden fresh tomato and vidalia onions.
