Our Thanksgiving meal is being prepped and readied for tomorrow as we will celebrate a day early. Daughter, SIL and Gkids will travel to have Tday with in laws. I'll post some pics later..somewhere.

pumpkin pie, of course. I always used to make a lemon meringue for my Dad. He's been gone quite a few years now. We don't eat lemon meringue pie for Thanksgiving any more.

My dad was a big lemon meringue guy, too . Those always make me think of him.

I love pumpkin but two of my guys do not. So I'm looking for alternative ideas..

Two pies...sweet potato pie in lieu of pumpkin for a change of pace, and sugar cream pie.

I'm sort of feeling self-inflicted pressure to do a fruit pie, too.
