The food pyramid suggests you eat 6-11 servings of grains a day and 5-9 servings of fruits + vegetables.
Would it be unhealthy if you followed the food pyramid in the long-term with one diet modification: only had 2-3 servings of grains everyday and 9-15 servings of fruits and vegetables?
(Intuitively, we're eating less grains and replacing them all with fruits or vegetables.)
I don't know if it'd be unhealthy, but your palate would certainly suffer.
I'm also hypoglycemic, and cannot eat carbs without a protein at the same time. Recipe for a crash in almost exactly 4 hours. If I eat even good healthy carbs like oatmeal for breakfast, I'm gonna crash. I'm better off eating nothing at all. In fact, i DON'T eat breakfast at all, except occasionally on weekends, and have no blood sugar problems at all anymore. I eat a salad with lots of different veggies for lunch at 1 or later, and I better be home with my head in the fridge looking for cheese before 5 or I'm in trouble!
