I like it either way. Love sweet, but unsweetened is better for me, of course.

My SIL is from Alabama and she puts about 2lbs of sugar in a pitcher. eek

I put a heaping cup of sugar in a gallon of tea. I use a cold brew now. I've always boiled it but Cold brews are very good. We have a store brand that's stronger than Lipton's so it's what I prefer. While I love lemons in almost everything I don't use them in my tea. I just prefer my tea without lemon. I'm not getting much other sweets so not too concerned about sweet tea.

As some have mentioned, I think unsweetened iced tea is just plain gross. I prefer my iced tea nice and sweet, thank you very much. I try to watch how often I drink it, because as much as I love sweet iced tea, less is better in my case.

I was raised within walking distance of an Alabama grandma and a Georgia grandma. It ain't a stretch to guess how I prefer my iced tea.

I LOVE and only drink unsweetened iced tea. Heard a lot of southern folks talking about their "sweet tea" and looked up the recipie and was like "OMG!!!!" at the sugar content. No way would I drink that stuff.

Just give me my "Ice-T" with "Ice Cubes".

Do people buy them and pour raw sugar in it when they get home? thus adding the amount so its not too sweet, so it's just right?

or do people just drink it like that unsweetened?
I never sweeten iced tea. I make my own, rather than buy it already made. But when I order it in restaurants, I never sweeten it.

I like iced tea unsweetened, but I will add a dash of sugar to my hot tea. Both - my iced and hot teas are very dark.

With that logic - so is coffee...

Dark! Unsweet!

That's why I use Coffee-Mate creamer.

I must maintain my sweetness level!

I don't recall ever seeing an unsweetened soft drink!

I rarely drink tea, hot or iced. But when I do, I much prefer honey over sugar. If I were to order iced tea in a restaurant, I'd order it unsweetened, and ask for honey on the side. And a lemon wedge to squeeze in it too.
